MN Cup Applications Are Open!

It’s that time of year again!  No, not eggnog and carols, not leaves falling, not cabin season (quite yet…), but time for aspiring entrepreneurs to apply for entry in the MN Cup.  For those who are not frequent readers of entreVIEW and don’t know about the MN Cup, it is the largest annual business plan competition in the country for emerging entrepreneurs.

The MN Cup is open to Minnesota-based businesses with over $1 million in annual revenue. There is no cost to enter the competition and the initial entry isn’t a huge lift—really just providing some detail regarding three key questions. You can enter in one of nine divisions and there is $400,000 in prize money available to competitors.

As a supporter of the MN Cup for over twenty years, and a judge for about the last fifteen, there are so many reasons to enter. Yes, you can win non-dilutive prize money (like last year’s winner, and Lathrop GPM client, AcQumen Medical). But, it also gives you the chance to learn how to tell your story, interact with industry leaders, mentorship events, networking opportunities, media exposure, and maybe even the chance to meet potential investors!
